About the role
As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient operation of our paper manufacturing equipment. This position involves working on a rotating 12-hour shift roster to support continuous 24/7 operations.

Your role:
Reporting to the Shift Foreman, your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Operate and monitor paper manufacturing machinery, including but not limited to pulping, refining, forming, pressing, drying, and finishing equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates smoothly and safely.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Monitor process parameters and adjust settings as necessary to meet quality standards and production targets.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any abnormalities or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
What you will bring to the team:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and operate complex machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position including manual handling which will be performed during shift work.
- Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
