The role:
Reporting to the State General Manager, this role is responsible for the leadership and management of the Technical Department for Visy Board NSW. With 3 direct reports and multi-site responsibility, this role provides quality and technical leadership and support to internal and external stake holders.
Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Operate at all times in accordance with Visy Health & Safety, HACCP, Quality, Environmental, and other relevant certification systems.
- Manage an effective and compliant Quality & Food Safe Management system in accordance with the requirements of standard conformance (ISO / GSFI).
- Schedule, document and conduct training that promotes a Quality Focus and improves business technical knowledge.
- Liaise with raw material suppliers to ensure ongoing conformance and continued improvement through product innovation trials.
- Actively participate in, promote & provide continuous improvement aligned with business strategies for World Class Manufacturing.
- Manage product testing and inspection data, ensuring compliance of manufactured product and raw materials.
What you will bring to the team:
- Batchelor Degree in either Science, Engineering, Business or applicable field.
- Auditor or Lead Auditor experience.
- An experienced leader with a background in quality, technical and/or operations.
- Proven internal and external stakeholder management.
- A proactive approach to safety, quality, environmental management systems and continuous improvement.
- Strong interpersonal skills with strong emphasis on negotiating, motivating, and influencing others.
- Familiar with risk management systems, quality legislation and other relevant legal obligations.
- Experience within a Lean organisation where you have developed your knowledge of Lean principles and operating practices.
