Operations Manager - Container Deposit Scheme (CDS)

The opportunity:

We are seeking a highly organised and dynamic CDS Operations Manager to join our team. This role is crucial for the efficient operation of our CDS, ensuring that operational requirements are met promptly through effective coordination with various stakeholders.

Reporting to the State Operations Manager, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Manage service providers to meet contractual KPIs and maintain Scheme compliance.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives for business processes, reporting, and Scheme outcomes.
  • Oversee the management of Reverse Vending Machines (RVM), including daily cleaning schedules, contractor management, and monitoring of internal businesses such as Visy Automation.
  • Collaborate effectively with the VR Management Team to ensure CDS deliverables are met within required timeframes.
  • Maintain rigorous OH&S and Safety reporting.
  • Ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to meet operational needs.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Prior experience in operations management within the recycling or environmental services industry will be considered beneficial.
  • Experience in managing vendors or leading teams will be regarded as an asset.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, Word, Excel & Outlook
