This is a new position in our new state of the art box factory located in Hemmant. It is an exciting time to join the team, as we build and commence production in this new factory.
The opportunity:
You will work as part of a team, operating various machines and/or working in and supporting different operational production processes. In your role as a production worker & operator you will work closely with your supervisor and crew to meet production demands, drive operational efficiency; meeting production outcomes in a safe manner, ensuring compliance with our internal and external policies and standards.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Monitor the production of cardboard boxes through various processes which may include corrugation, die cutting and stacking.
- Perform quality inspection checks on newly produced boxes along with other procedural checks.
- Operate computer production systems and interfaces.
- Assist with job changes and associated tasks.
- Trouble shoot - assist with general mechanical maintenance & fix minor mechanical problems.
What you will bring to the team:
- Previous experience working with a manufacturing or production process worker environment.
- You will feel comfortable working in a fasted paced manufacturing environment, undertaking a number of manual handling tasks and keeping up with production.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure and a good eye for detail.
- A willingness to learn and develop in the role. Many individuals who have started at this level have progressed in Machine Operators and other roles in our factories.
