We are currently looking for a National Fleet & Linehaul Manager to join the team in Wiri, Auckland on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting to the National Transport Manager, you will be responsible for all facets of safety, service delivery and cost control within the Linehaul company fleet business. You will also be a major supporter and key influencer in strategic direction of both the company fleet and Freight Hub (sub-contractor) operations. This role will also support and lead the VGL local fleet team, focusing on asset optimisation, cost reduction, efficiencies, and general asset management.
The Visy Logistics Linehaul business is still in the early stages of growth and infrastructure development. To achieve success in this role, you will work closely with a range of stakeholders including the existing operational teams to help guide them to successful commercial outcomes.
You will bring at least 3yrs experience in Fleet Management and Telematics, as well as extensive experience in P&L Management and Asset Cost Modelling. In addition to your tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain/Logistics/Transport, you will have demonstrated experience in leadership and coaching, which will support you with improving safety, vehicle utilisation and profitability, as well as improving staff culture and morale.
